Madagascar

Madagascar is exceptional! Separated from mainland Africa by hundreds of kilometres of Indian Ocean and with its welcoming people having their roots in Asia, Madagascar has evolved to be unlike anywhere else and with plenty of reasons to visit.

Over millions of years diverse habitats have become established; from rainforests to forests of giant baobabs, which are home to some extraordinary wildlife, much of which can be seen nowhere else.  The most well-known of Madagascar’s unique wildlife are the dozens of species of lemur, such as the ‘dancing’ Ring-tailed Lemur.  Madagascar does not need the lions and elephants of mainland Africa to draw those looking for a wildlife safari.

With superb scuba diving, snorkelling and unspoilt white sand beaches Madagascar is ideal for the adventurous, or those wishing to just unwind.  Why not explore some of the smaller tropical islands and turquoise waters on a traditional dhow sailing boat for a few days?
