The Caprivi Strip

The scenery and National Parks of the Caprivi are a stark contrast to the rest of Namibia; with thick, green tropical vegetation and a network of rivers, reed lined waterways and marsh areas.

The Caprivi Strip is a narrow finger of land in the north east of Nambia betwen Botswana and Angola, stretching east to a point at which Namibia meets Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia. The remote and less visited game reserves offer tranquility and feel truly wild.  It is possible to see all of the ‘Big 5’ here, a diversity of antelope species and abundant birdlife.  Take the time to enjoy a boat safari, or mokoro (dug-out canoe) tour, drifting along the mighty Zambezi, or one of the other channels that feed into the Okavango Delta in Botswana, looking out for hippos, and other animals in the reeds and along the banks.
