JoannaButler

Joanna has a wealth of international travel experience, having travelled extensively from a very early age. She has an excellent knowledge of wildlife and conservation, having studied a degree in Biology at the University of Leeds and a Masters in Conservation at The University College London.

Joanna has volunteered and co-ordinated on a number of conservation and research projects overseas. She has worked closely with the local tourism industries as part of these projects to establish sustainable practices and ensure the protection of wildlife species for the benefit of local communities.

Joanna has travelled independently throughout southern and East Africa, discovering many of the well kept secrets that this region has to offer away from the usual tourist routes. She is a professional nature field guide with an extensive portfolio of qualifications. She has guiding experience and has managed safari lodges in some of the most renowned game reserves in Africa.

As well as her passion for wildlife and conservation Joanna has a keen interest in culture and art, which she has explored during her time in Africa. Her knowledge of these fields brings valuable diversity to NaturallyAfrica’s areas of expertise. This ensures that the travel itinerary that NaturallyAfrica arranges for you will be suited to your personal interests and requirements.

"I have been extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to explore so many of the areas of natural and unspoilt beauty that Africa has to offer. It is difficult not to be captivated by the romance of this continent and feel a longing to return.”
