Wildlife & Ecology Trips

NaturallyAfrica organises a variety of specialist trips for small groups usually of between 6 and 8 individuals on set dates, depending upon demand and the availability of the experts and specialists that will contribute to each trip.

These unique trips are intended to offer an invaluable insight into the wildlife, ecology and conservation management of the reserve and wilderness areas of southern Africa and the research that is being carried out there. They may include experiences such as exploring the dunes of the Kalahari with a professor of desert ecology, shadowing a researcher working with small predators, learning about the role of collaring and monitoring large mammal populations in reserve management, or observing a reserve ecologist, or veterinary surgeon performing an operation in the field.

Some of these trips are specifically designed for students studying a relevant subject in the fields of biology, ecology, conservation or the environment. However, they can also be tailored for groups that are specifically interested in this type of safari experience. If you would like to learn more about these trips, or have a specific specialist experience that you would like us to organise please do not hesitate to contact us.

Alternatively, please bookmark these pages, or check them regularly for proposed itineraries and dates of forthcoming trips.
