Tanzania

In the north you have the vast open plains of the notorious Serengeti National Park, which also plays host to one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth; the wildebeest migration.  Adjoining this is another of many visitors’ must-sees, the Ngorongoro Crater, with incredible wildlife and several different habitats all concentrated in the caldera of this ancient volcano.

However, the less visited Parks in the south, including Ruaha National Park, Selous Game Reserve and Katavi National Park, easily rival those in the north for wildlife and with the added draw that you will be sharing your safari with far fewer tourists, the latter still only receiving a few hundred visitors each year. This makes it the ideal holiday for the safari enthusiast, wanting to enjoy that feeling of true wilderness as much as the abundant wildlife.

It is little surprise that Tanzania has become synonymous with safari and adventure holidays in Africa. The Serengeti is often used to conjure up the romantic image of vast, untamed and wildlife filled African plains.
