Zambia has some major highlights, including one of southern Africa’s most popular attractions, the mighty Victoria Falls. Zambia’s National Parks are spectacular and offer some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa. The country’s proximity to Malawi also allows an alternative Beach and Bush combination, relaxing on golden sands beside the crystal clear waters of Lake Malawi.

For a wildlife safari Zambia boasts some of the best parks in Africa. South Luangwa National Park is exceptional and a great place to try to spot some of the larger predators, such as lion and leopard, as well as having a large population of elephant. The park is also renowned for its walking safaris, which give a unique insight into Africa’s wildlife. The Lower Zambezi National Park is another special; sit on the banks of the Zambezi River, listening to the sounds of the African bush, while watching elephants wander past and hippos laze in the waters. Alternatively, gain a different perspective as you paddle along the river in a kayak!

Victoria Falls, known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, the ‘Smoke that Thunders’, will be on most visitors’ must-see list. Whether you have come to wonder at the sight and sound, as the water roars over the edge of the falls throwing clouds of spray high into the air, or you have come in search of an adrenaline rush you will not be disappointed. The list of adventure activities on offer here is lengthy; bungee jumping, white-water rafting, kayaking, gorge swinging, river-boarding, jet boating, and quadbiking to name just a few.
