Mana Pools National Park

A spectacular wildlife haven - just don't tell everyone!

The setting of Mana Pools along the Zambezi River with views over distant hills is exceptional! You cannot help but relax, sat at the river’s edge, gazing out over the water and enjoying the peace. If you are lucky you may just spot an elephant swimming across the channel, or wandering past you, seemingly disinterested in your presence.

This park does not feature on most safari itineraries, which for those who visit Mana Pools is probably a big point in its favour.  Its location is a bit off the normal tourist route, which makes it popular with self-drive travellers, but it can be incorporated into a guided tour and we would highly recommend it.

The wildlife here is excellent too and walking is permitted, although don’t let the laid back feel allow you to forget that there are lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos and leopards here!
